Shahid Kapoor was supposed to 'Bang Bang'

Movies clashing at the box office is quite common in Bollywood and the latest such clash will happen between Hrithik Roshan`s 'Bang Bang' and Shahid Kapoor`s 'Haider'. These movies are of different nature and are made by filmmakers of different kind. So if 'Bang Bang' is directed by Siddharth Anand in a total sleek manner, 'Haider' has a very poetic touch to it as it comes from Vishal Bharadwaj.

But the irony is that Shahid was approached for Hrithik`s role in 'Bang Bang' initially. Reports indicate that he turned down the offer to avoid any comparisons between him and Tom Cruise as 'Bang Bang' is an official remake of Hollywood movie 'Knight and Day'....
