Suddenly the whole country is feeling the heat of the deadly bomb blasts that have rocked the major metro cities over a period of few months.

The makers and soldiers of law have finally understood that it is the co-operation of the common folk that is the most important ingredient in fighting terrorism.

Mumbai police upon realizing that only a mere 3 percent of the people of the financial capital are alert in any way and try to take some sort of action when confronted with suspicion have decided to spread the awareness of passing information to the Police.

The servants of law have gone for a strong campaign to make people understand the importance of reporting any activity that they think of having a suspicious nature.

Named as the "Alert Mumbaikar" campaign, the police department in association with the telecom firm idea cellular has launched a 24 hour helpline for the citizens to call.

Rising star and Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor has been selected to spearhead the campaign.

As part of the campaign hoardings and banners urging the people to help the police will be put in all major places of the city.
