A film for the fans of action hero Vijay is not only loaded with bullets in the pistols that flows quite often in the film but lorry load of dialogues, major part that are very punching and contemporary. This two hours 37 minutes film should have been pruned to make it crisp. Of course the social concern of director on the acid attacks, rape committed in the society plus the system of police and politics is appreciable in this action feast. The real life acid victim's director Ramesh brings on the screen to touch the hearts of millions.
Shanker Prasad (Vijay) is in different get ups to banish the social evils. His treatment is final. He kills the nefarious people in the society that becomes a major issue for the police and politicians. Shanker Prasad is none other than suspended `Shanker IPS'. He has taken the extreme step when law supports the anti social criminals through the money power.
Shanker Prasad without leaving any clue murdered a few anti socials. He poses a challenge to the television channel that he would expose everyone and the stage is set. Shanker Prasad introduces the three acid victims who are the permanent sufferers in life. All dignitaries and public are in front of the channel and the flash back of the life of Shanker Prasad opens up.
As `Shanker IPS' the upright cop using the policy of `Dandam Dashagunam' he takes on many enemies. He is given the free hand in the department because `Crime Free' city is the modus operandi. The big business tycoon Saklej (Avinash) son crosses his limit and pours the acid on the face of Miss India contestant Shilpa (Catherine). The good cause of earning good life for the destitute and blind goes in vain as Shilpa is not able to contest in the competition.
Shanker IPS takes up this case very seriously and rounds off the son of Saklej who is later set free in the court of law. Shanker becomes further strong on this court verdict and killing Saklej's son snatches the power from him.
In disguise Shanker IPS takes revenge but the realization is what he wants in the minds of evil doers that he achieves.
Vijay is six pack and robust in this film. Every ten minutes he has action scenes to treat his fans. After tiger Prabhakar it is Vijay who is giving such stunning action scenes with his muscular build. The song Chumbanakke ninna Olavina Avhana..Vijay and Ragini are in the sensuous number. The six packs and stony physique is a real treat for the fans. Ragini is sizzling and superb in her role. Catherine is tolerable. Avinash is splendid again.
It is not that easy to store the stunning bizarre action scenes in the camera. Dasari Seenu has showed his strength with all action scenes looking very bright on screen. Music director Gurukiran fails in giving a few melodious tunes. One song Chumbanake...is glorious.
It is a sumptuous food for action lovers.
