Want to know why director Shankar chose to start a production house?

Well, he says, "I became a director after seeing Uthiri Pookal. My desire was to make such classical movies. Unfortunately, I am a commercial director today. Hence, I have started a production house to encourage directors to come up with movies as they imagine.

"I want to give them space and time to give quality movies. Kadhal is the first step in that direction", he says.
