Michelle Obama is undoubtedly one of the best first ladies of the US, and the first coloured woman to reach that place, and continues to do her part in empowering women. In an interview for the Women's Foundation of Colorado's 30th anniversary fundraising celebration in Denver, she revealed what her the most during her eights years at the White House.

She said that the comments that were directed to hurt her did just that. She was saddened by the fact that, despite all that she has done, there are still some who cannot look past her skin colour. The packed auditorium, though, was full of people who appreciated her commitment to society. She reiterated that education could change the world for woman and that it was the best way to empower them, in addition to being kind to young women.
