The welcome to Kannada cinema from the audience has become a rare factor off late. It is director Prem who somehow steals the show from the day of start of his film. Upendra has that strength to pull the fans to go crazy. Darshan and Sudeep quietly win in the box office for image. Puneeth Rajakumar has no problem in giving a kick to his audience on the opening day.

On Friday for the release of ‘Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu’ the welcome was tumultuous in front of Narthaki theatre. An orchestra team continuously rendered all 98 films songs of Shivarajakumat. The 60 feet huge cut out of Shivarajakumar was special attraction. The burning of crackers and traffic jam at the busiest Kempe Gowda road was common sight.

After the morning show the fans broke coconuts outside the theatre for the good of Shivarajakumar’s film. Inside the theatre, the presence of Shivarajakumar, his wife, daughters and lovely star Premkumar made the difference.

The song ‘Huttidare Kannada Nadalli…’ song sung by Dr Rajakumar was repeated after interval. This is not done by the theatre management but there was huge demand for it. When the huge screen saw 11 get ups of Shivarajakumar of all his father films with his father’s original shots to one side the fans went really crazy. The coins were thrown the Arathi was done and the fans danced in front of the screen.

The craze was so much that at one point of time Shivarajakumar came down and asked everyone to keep quiet.
