Perhaps for the first time in the history of Kannada cinema the popular star felicitating all those who have worked with him in the last 25 years has taken place. This type of event is not heard according to sources in the Indian cinema.

The credit for this obviously goes to Shivarajakumar (first son of Dr Rajakumar) and his wife Geetha Shivarajakumar for organizing an opulent felicitation evening for producer, co artists, directors, choreographers, music directors, stunt directors, editors and of course journalists who have seen the growth of century hero Shivarajakumar in 25 years.

It was ‘Shiva’ Saturday on 9th April at White Petals at Bangalore Palace. Shivarajakumar honored all those who brought him to this stage of 100 films and 25 years in professional career.

The perfect pillar of the Empire of Dr Rajakumar family Raghavendra Rajakumar outlined how the evening is taking place and considered all those who have for the evening to receive felicitation as ‘Gods’. Today my elder brother Shivarajakumar really looks like my father stated Raghavendra Rajakumar.

The inaugural of a song and dance on the screen featuring Shivarajakumar offered the first salutation that was very close to the hearts of one and all. Vandane… Abhinandane Karunada Mannige….was sung by Shivarajakumar was a timely one.

It is not possible to come single handed to this profession. It is only through group effort I was able to reach 100 films in 25 years time stated Shivarajakumar. When I saw the initial day’s pillars of my career like Kailasam and Swami I collected tears. They were like my two eyes. Today my friends Shekar, Prabhakar, Vincent have also come. I am moved with this presence. I apologize for my mistakes that have happened unknowingly in my career so far mentioned Shivarajakumar. Looking at the ability of his younger brother Raghavendra Rajakumar he said he is like ‘Big Brother’ to me. I would work for 25 more years and do films up to 250 said Shivarajakumar for thunderous applaud.

The songs on this occasion from Shivarajakumar films were sung by Chetan and Anuradha Bhat. Srujan Lokesh and Ravishanker anchored the four hours felicitation evening.
