'Thillu Mullu', one of the most memorable movies of Superstar Rajinikanth, is all set to be remade. Vendhar Movies, which distributed films like 'Aravaan' in the past, will be producing the new version of the K Balachander directed classic.

'Mirchi' Shiva, who is known for his comic sense, will play the lead role in 'Thillu Mullu' remake, which is to be directed by Badri who made 'Veeraappu' earlier.

A close associate of Sundar C, Badri penned dialogues for 'Kalakalappu'. It is said he is now busy making slight modifications to the original script of 'Thillu Mullu', to make it suit to the present day audience.
