Wondering what this is all about? Well lady Aish has earned a new name from hubby Abhi.

We are all aware that Aish is busy with two films, both being directed by South Indian directors. One is a sci-fi film, directed by Shankar where she gets to play a role opposite the superstar of Tamilnadu, Rajnikanth. The other is 'Ravan' being directed by Mani Rathnam where she acts opposite Abhishek Bachchan.

Aish's debut was in Mani Rathnam's Tamil film 'Iruvar' where she acted opposite Mohanlal.

Aish was thrilled by the news that confirmed her name for the coveted Padma Shri. When hubby Abhishek heard of the tidings he is supposed to have nick named her as 'Padma Shri'mati.

Quite a creative hubby we should say Aish!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will receive her Padmashri awards with 90 others who have made a mark in their fields of work.

Congratulations once again Mrs. 'Padma Shri'mati we wish you luck to amass more laurels!
