Shriya Saran is playing one of the most challenging roles of her career in the Krish-directed 'Gautamiputra Satakarni'. After much deliberation, the makers zeroed in on the talented actress to play the role of Vashisti Devi, Satakarni's queen.

On the occasion of her birthday today, the makers released her First Look today. The same features her in a semi-intense look, with Shriya's teary eyes suggesting that she has a performance-oriented role in the movie.

Her scenes with Balakrishna and Hema Malini (who is playing the Emperor's mother) are being shot in the Madhya Pradesh schedule.
