Actress Shruti Haasan is trying to break the stereotype image and picking up her roles wisely. After donning a critically acclaimed role in Srimanthudu, the actress has agreed to play a matured character in the Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster Premam. The actress also committed to play one of the female leads opposite Suriya in Singam 3. The shooting of the film was supposed to start last week in Visakhapatnam but eventually got delayed due to incessant rains in Chennai.

According to reports, Shruti will be donning the role of a CID officer in this actioner. She is going to perform stunning stunts in the film alongside Suriya, says the buzz. Despite her hectic shooting schedules, Shruti is doing extensive research for the role. Also starring Anushka, the film is being directed by Hari. Harris Jayaraj is scoring the music for the film produced by Suriya's home production 2D Entertainments.
