Shruti Haasan recovering from appendicitis surgery

Shruti Haasan the multi-talented actor has been hospitalized due to abdominal pain; following which she had appendicitis surgery.

According to sources, while shooting for a Telugu film in Hyderabad the ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ beauty suddenly complained of severe stomach pain on Sunday and was immediately taken to a private hospital in Jubilee Hills area where she was admitted for treatment. Going by the medical reports, the doctors told her to undergo an appendectomy at the earliest

Consequently all the upcoming shoots of the singer turned actress have been cancelled - including two Telugu projects which are ready to release as well as two Hindi films.

The popular young lass of North-South industries has been busy shooting Hindi and Telugu projects for months together.

Shruthi's current Bollywood projects include ‘Welcome Back’ starring John Abraham and Anil Kapoor alongside her and ‘Gabbar’, the remake of Tamil super hit film ‘Ramana’, in which she is paired up with Khiladi Superstar Akshay Kumar.

Shruti, who spend New Year eve with her famous father Kamal Haasan in Chennai, had him constantly calling up on her to check her health status. As of now, the actress has been advised strict bed rest and not to make sudden movements for next eight-ten days. She will be able to report to work after a week.
