Shruti Haasan, who has popularity even among Bollywood cine-goers, has clocked five million followers on Twitter. This makes her one of the most popular super-celebs on social media. "Thankyou beautiful people for my five million ! Your love and support means so much to me !!!! wish I could give a giant group hug !!" she has tweeted.
In an interview before the release of 'Katamarayudu', when IndiaGlitz asked her about the huge numbers, Shruti said, "I always believed in the connectivity of social media. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to communicate. I don't have a social media manager. All the tweets are mine. I don't know how you get more number of followers. Numbers don't matter".
She is currently doing 'Sabaash Naidu' and 'Sangamitra' in Tamil, and 'Behen Hogi Teri' (Hindi).
