Shruti Haasan has been talked-about for playing a traditional Telugu girl's role in Gabbar Singh. She thanks the director for sketching the character, Bhagya Lakshmi, and says that it is a "big plus" for her career. Praising Devi Sri Prasad she picks Pilla and Dil Se numbers as the best ones.

As of Pawan, she finds him both intelligent and nice. "He was a supporting co-star. I learned a lot of things from him. I am happy to have been paired with him," she says adding that working with Harish Shankar was no less a learning experience. "Shankar likes everyone; he is always energetic and knows well what to get from his actors."

She reveals that Kamal Haasan liked DSP's songs from the film. She doesn't like to talk about the films which have not been finalized yet. However, she is quick to add that she will never let loose a good opportunity that may come her way in Telugu.

The actress' admiration for her director was reciprocated by Harish Shankar in a press meet. "She is a very patient individual. She is one of the reasons for the film's success."
