Indiaglitz was one of the first to report that actor Silambarasan may contest in the Nadigar Sangam elections on behalf of the team representing the incumbent office bearers lead by the President R.Sarathkumar. Now it has been confirmed the multi-talented star has been fielded to contest for the Vice President post on behalf of Sarathukumar team.

It is also revealed Vishal who was earlier touted to contest for the General Secretary post will actually contest for the Vice President post against Simbhu paving way for a head to head clash between two young and happening stars.

Simbhu took part in the press meet organized by Sarathkumar and his team and here is what he spoke to media persons:

"Cinema is my family. Nadigar Sangam represents all the actors and their unity. I have been a member of the Sangam and its committee since the age of 16-17. People ask me why I am not part of the team of youngsters. It`s immaterial whether the team is of youngsters or elders. Truth is only important. God has taught me who will stand with us with true heart. I am deeply pained that the Sangam stands divided today. If any wrong had happened I would have been the first person to raise my voice against it. But nothing has happened and there is no truth in allegations made against the Sangam. How can I support those who make baseless allegations? I have understood that there is no problem within the Sangam and what the real problem is. So I have decided to support the team of present office bearers. We will be winning the elections. Winning or losing is immaterial to me. I wholeheartedly believe that the Sangam will support the actors when they face a problem. That`s why I support this team."
