A few days back Simbu had called for a press meet in which he demanded the government to free 36 youngsters who were arrested following the Marina protest. He had also asked for a permanent fish market to function in Nadukuppam area.

TN Chief Minister O.Paneer Selvam, has ordered the release of the youngsters and has also promised a fish market to be set up at a cost of 70 lakhs. Simbu has issued a statement in which he has thanked the CM for accepting his demands and also for making a permanent bill to legalize jallikattu.
