Amidst several directors trying to get yesteryear glam doll Simran to act in their movies, director Samuthirakani has succeeded in convincing the actress to be part of his project. However Samuthirakani has chosen not to do a movie. It is a telefilm that centers around a woman who fights against injustice meted out to women.
Simran plays the protagonist, who fights against all odds. Shooting will commence in Delhi soon and it be aired in a prominent television channel this June. Vaseegaran is handling the cinematography while music is by Kiran.
Samuthirakani, a one-time associate of K Balachander, is currently directing the mega-serial Arasi starring Radhika Sarath Kumar.
