Although the release of 'Sivaji' is in low key the 13 Tamil prints and 4 Telugu prints has made the Rajnikanth fans to cheer up. The four Telugu prints of 'Sivaji' are in Mulbagal, Chickballapur and Gauribidanur and Chintamani Telugu belt areas of Karnataka. In the next few weeks the film will be released in Mysore, Mandya, Hassan and Coorg areas of Karnataka.

On Friday morning distributor of the film H.D.Gangaraju arranged for a preview of the film 'Sivaji' to film media persons at Badami House. At this premier there was heavy crowd. Nearly 200 persons stood on both the sides of Badami house and watched the film.

A fan of Rajnikanth came straight to distributor Gangaraju and requested him to allocate all the four shows tickets to him so that he could give free tickets to Rajni fans. Gangaraju pointed his fingers to Urvashi theatre but that could not materialize for the fan. In black tickets were sold from Rs.1000 to 5000 rupees per ticket. Rajni wages war against black money in the film 'Sivaji' is interesting to note here. The theatres in Bangalore hiked the admission rates from Rs.20 to 200 rupees.

Rajni fans performed 'pal' abhishek, aarti and broke coconuts at the cut outs of their Superstar. The crowds went berserk and there was even lathi charge at the Ajantha Theatre. There was a even traffic jam on the streets outside Ajantha and Cauvery.
