Perfect curtain raiser to the most expected film of the year

The much expected teaser of Sivakarthikeyan's 'Velaikkaran' has released. Stakes are riding high on this project as the Rising Star has teamed up with director Mohan Raja, who has delivered the unanimously acclaimed blockbuster 'Thani Oruvan'.

The teaser starts with a top angel shot establishing the slum where the hero emerges from. It wastes no time in establishing the core idea of the film with the dialogue சூழ்நிலைக்கேத்த மாதிரி நாம மாரினதெல்லாம் போதும். இப்ப நமக்கேத்த மாதிரி சூழ்நிலைய மாத்துவோம் (It is enough we changed ourselves according to the situation. Now let's change the situation according to our needs).

Sivakarthikeyan looks smart and fit and his dialogue delivery is as usual the best. There are glimpses that show that the hero Sivakarthikeyan takes up some form of media to achieve his mission The dialogues convey that he is a worker spearheading a struggle against a problem in a corporate setup.

Heroine Nayanthara appears in a couple of instances and not much has been revealed about her character. Prakash Raj also makes an appearance. His getup makes us feel that he is a goon living in the slum.

The teaser also has many combination shots of Fahad Faasil with Sivakarthkeyan and it looks like they work together in a company and they also plan something together as per the story. Fahad looks cool in the corporate formal attire. .

Anirudh's BGM is simply top notch the music is pulsating and the instruments and sounds are pretty trendy. Cinematographer Ramji's visuals are neat and the colour tone he has chosen, aptly conveys the heat of the struggles faced by common men.

To sum up, 'Veilakkaran' teaser serves as a perfect curtain raiser for the film that comes from a fantastic young team of Sivakarthikeyan, director Mohan Raja and Producer RD Raja's 24AM Studios banner.
