A sudden change of release plan doing rounds in Kollywood circles is that Sivakarthikeyan-Keerthy Suresh starrer Rajini Murugan` may get postponed.

The Ponram directed film got a clean U` certificate from the Censor Board officials last week and it was widely speculated that the film would hit the screens on September 17. But now the makers are rumored to have opted out of the Vinayakar Chathurthi race. The film has been produced by N.Lingusamy under the Thirrupathi Brother banner.and distributed by Eros International and S.Madhan of Vendhar Movies.

However the clear picture on the exact release date of Rajini Murugan` is expected to emerge only on Monday and only then we can be confirmed about this development..

Meanwhile the Vemal-Anjali starrer Mapla Singam` directed by Rajsekar has just obtained a clean chit from the Censor board and it is likely to be released for the grand Vinayakar Chathurthi Weekend.

The horror flick Maaya` with Nayanthara in the lead role is the only film that has so far confirmed the release date as September 17 while G.V.Prakash`s second film as the lead hero Trisha Illana Nayanthara` is also expected to make it for the fast approaching festival.
