Veteran direcotor P.Vasu is making agrand comeback in Kollywood with 'Shivalinga' the Tamil remake of his own Kannada blockbuster with the same title.
Raghava Lawrence reprises the lead role role of a police officer who investigates a murder, played by Sivarajkumar in the original.
Vedhika had played the female lead in Kannada while in Tamil it is Rithika Singh who received enormous critical acclaim for her performance in 'Irudhi Suttru' and 'Aandavan Kattalai' .
Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu teams up with his 'Chandramukhi' director after a long gap through this film. Vasu's son actor Sakthi aka Sakthivel Vasu will be acting in a pivotal role in this film. He played the same role in the Kannada version as well.
Veterans Radharavi, Bhanupriya, Urvashi and Madhuvanthi Arun among others.
The film is being bankrolled by R.Raveendran of Trident Arts banner.

The shooting of 'Shivalinga' started in Bangalore in the month of July. The film has been shot predominantly in Bengaluru and then the team moved to Mysuru.
Touted to be a horror thriller. 'Shivalinga' has acquired a clean U certificate and the film will be hitting the screens on April 14, 2017. The film has acquired a clean U certificate from Censor board.
