Social Media slams Rahul Gandhi for his NRI remarks

Social media slammed Rahul Gandhi for referring Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Ambedkar as NRIs. In his address at Times Square to a gathering Rahul Gandhi quoted "The original Congress movement was an NRI movement. Mahatma Gandhi was an NRI, Jawaharlal Nehru came back from England. Ambedkar, Azad, Patel these were all NRIs. Every single one of them went to the outside world, saw the outside world, returned back to India and used some of the ideas that they had got and transformed India". The hashtag "Not Related to India" started trending all day even as social media called Rahul Gandhi's address an embarrassment.
