Sonakshi Sinha couldn't quite get into a 'latak-jhatak' mode for 'Dabangg'. However when it came to 'Rowdy Rathore', she was assured that there would be lot more elements added to her characterisation that would fit in well into the quintessential heroine avtar. One step in this direction was to give her a 'naach-gaana' routine that further added weight to her part in the film.

Informs a source, "Composers Sajid-Wajid were given a brief to come up with the kind of songs that allowed her a good range to showcase another side of her persona. Though in 'Dabangg' she was required to be all subtle and relatively sober, 'Rowdy Rathore' would see her in a mischievous mode with quintessential heroine part to boast which would remind audience of the 80s and 90s."

This means that other than a love song like 'Tera Ishq Meetha', she also has 'dhinchaak' numbers like 'Dhadang Dhang' and 'Chamak Challo Chel Chabeli' to her name.

Informs a source, "These are the kind of 'latak-jhatak' songs that were picturised on Karisma Kapoor in the 90s. Sonakshi has quite a few surprises up her sleeves with 'Rowdy Rathore' and the film would pretty much act as a show reel for her."

We are gearing up for that as well.
