Grapevine is abuzz that Sonam Kapoor has been approached for Aanand L Rai – Dhanush’s ‘Raanjhnaa’. Her PR representative has reportedly confirmed that the actress has been approached for this film, but it is not sure if the actress will take it up.

“She has been offered with the female lead role in Raanjhnaa, but she has two Bollywood films for which she will be starting work immediately so we can’t be sure if this project will work out for her, her dates have to match with the Kolaveri boy, Dhanush’s”, says a source close to the pretty damsel.

It may be mentioned Sonam Kapoor’s name was associated with several Tamil biggies earlier opposite big stars, but nothing materialized and they were all rubbished off as mere rumours.

However considering Dhanush’s pan Indian popularity post the success of ‘Kolaveri’, and Aanand’s post ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, it is likely that the actress might give her consent provided her dates work out.

Dhanush plays a Hindi speaking Brahmin boy, Kundan, in this film and the National Award winning actor is currently undergoing training to speak the language. An official press note announcing the cast and crew is expected from the makers shortly.
