In that rarity is Soundaraya Jayamala making debut from 'God Father' from 27th of July. She is the daughter of actress Dr Jayamala the big name in the Kannada cinema industry. Dr Jayamala not only popular as an actress from over 75 films, she stepped in to various film related activities. She is the first personality of Kannada cinema industry to get the doctorate for a thesis submitted on the condition of women in the society.

Dr Jayamala daughter Soundaraya debut in Telugu film was dropped and that was even before a Kannada film 'Lagori' that could not take place in Yogaraj Bhat direction with power star Puneeth Rajakumar. Soundaraya was paired opposite Yashosagar of ‘Ullasanga Utsahanga’ fame hero in Telugu film 'Mr Premikudu' by debutante director N. Mano Abhinav. B P Somu was producer who is father of Yasho Sagar. Somu earlier produced 'Ullasanga Utsahanga' with the same actor under Amruth Amarnath Banner.

Now for the third time she is lucky enough to get a big producer and a very big star Upendra. The debut of Soundaraya ia 'God Father' in which Catherine and Bhumika are cast for the triple role film of Upendra.

Actress, producer and former KFCC President Dr.Jayamala's daughter Soundaraya finished crash course in acting from Mumbai's prestigious institute run by Kishore Namith Kapoor. Soundaraya reduced her weight considerably to fit into the lead role. She attended Zella Gym center for shaping up for the film 'God Father'. Soundaraya is a graduate in Arts walked on the ramps in the team of Prasad Biddappa.
