South Film Industry 100 Years of Cinema Celebrations Postponed

The South Indian Film Industry celebrations marking the 100 years of Indian Cinema, which were supposed to be held in Chennai on September 1, 2 and 3 are reported to have been postponed to the end of September due to non-availability of President of India, Pranab Mukhaerjee, who is the Chief Guest of the function. The reports indicate that they are likely to happen on 25, 26 and 27 September in Chennai. The official announcement will be made soon.

The four industries viz., Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam industries have come together and designed a gamut of events and gala celebrations in which the chief ministers of all the four states were to be present apart from superstars of past and present were to be present for the three-day event. The industry would be shut for a week owing to preparations.
