Special buses to operate for Diwali rush

With Diwali round the corner, its always been tricky leaving back to your native from Chennai. The State Government has allocated more than 4500 special buses which will operate to various places. Transport minister has mentioned that with the addition of 4500 buses, the total bus tally operating over the week will touch 11,000 services.

Apart from additional buses, transport services will operate from five more places for the festive season. Buses to Puducherry, Cuddalore, Karaikudi will start from Saidapet, those going to AP will have to board from Anna Nagar. Tambaram Sanitorium will be the newly erected stand for those leaving to Kumbakonam via Tindivanam. Poonamallee bus stand will be used for those leaving to Bangalore.
