Srikanth attended his childhood friend Vagdevi's son's marriage as promised earlier to her. The marriage of Praveen, son of Vagdevi and Ramakrishna with Maunika happened in Rajahmundry.

Vagdevi was Srikanth's classmate till the tenth standarad in Vidya Nagar, near Gangavathi, Karnataka. The couple along with his family and friends were all floored by the actor's value for friendship as he made it a point to attend the marriage and bless the couple.
