The prestigious Star Suvarna Kannada channel has instituted Pariwar` awards five years ago and it is continuing the tradition with systematic approach.

The Pariwar awards are bestowed for mega serials in different categories and they are picked from viewer`s choice by a committee. The 5th Star Suvarana Pariwar Awards 2017 is giving away 30 awards besides five special awards.

The popular television serials in Star Suvarana Hara Hara Mahadeva`s Mahadeva, Triveni Sangama`s Trivikrama, Amrutha Varshini Vijay and Neeli mega serial Vishnu are in the nomination for best actor.

Vani, Shravani, Amrutha for best female category, Hara Hara Mahadeva, Neeli, Amrutha Varshini and Triveni Sangama in the best serial category, among children Triveni, Savi, Deeksha, Geethanjali, Damayanthi, Shakuntala Devi, Rekha are in supporting categories.

In addition to all the above categories Huchcha Venkat, Kaali Swami, Arun, Varsha, Swathi are in the contest for Star Suvarana Pariwar Awards 2017`.
