S A Chandrasekar’s ‘Sattapadi Kuttram’ continues to earn opposition. Now, Hindu Dharma Sakthi, a religious organisation, has approached the Madras High Court against the movie that hit the screens last week.

In its petition, the organisation requested the court to issue a direction to revoke the censor certificate for public exhibition issued to the film, on the ground that it would influence public sentiment and would therefore violate the model code of conduct.

The movie is already in the spotlight for its scathing attacks on the ruling DMK. It is said that some scenes that took a dig at Hindu Swamijis had irked Hindu Dharma Sakthi, which has approached the court.

Only recently, Congress MLA K Selvaperunthagai sent a complaint to Chief Election Commissioner of Tamil Nadu on ‘Sattappadi Kuttram’. He urged to review and ensure whether any party or leader insulted in the film.
