Yet another youngster to think differently and give a convincing screenplay with two tracks in `Story Kathe' has arrived to Kannada filmdom.

KR Jagadish shouldering responsibilities in many areas of this film `Story Kathe' gives some chilling moments and the need of the hour a vaccine for curing all viruses is given a thought. On the one side he thinks of saving the human life and other side he bet the same human life for death game placing luck as the main factor.

Director Jagadish taking the two tracks - fear for death and death by compulsion is rather slow in his narration. The end point is as expected when wrong path is followed.

Medical student Rajeev is serious on his invention of a vaccine to give an answer to all viruses of a human being. He makes a few attempts on trying his experiment but they go in vain. He is surrounded by police and imprisoned. In the prison the television journalist Pallavi (Parvathy Nayar) mistook him as innocent and gives a patient hearing and even come forward without seeking patent right share for the invention of Rajeev. At this point the real mindset of Rajeev is unveiled by the director.

On the other hand happy married couple is looking for comfort. Pratap Narayan tracing his friend call comes to Shivajinagar in Bangalore but he is in for a shock. He enters the den of betting gang that is cruel and ruthless. For the sake of earning money he is forced to accept bet on life. After several rounds of lucky battle on life Pratap emerges victorious with huge money. He deposit the money to his wife name in the bank before he takes a bus where he is finds another shock.

The required factor for the audience is the patience. At times director tests the patience but overall he succeed in good narration.

Tilak is adequate in the role; Parvathy Nayar has nothing much and so is Neha Patil. As a frightened youth Pratap Narayan is impressive.

Cinematography and music deserved to be better. The background score is quite OK. The film is passable.

Score - 6.5/10
