A teenager allegedly shot another teenager in the classroom at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Sonepat, Haryana over an altercation that the two had a few days earlier. Both victim and perpetrator are 16 or 17 years of age.

A CCTV footage reveals the victim talking to a boy in his classroom, while two boys, one of them being the assailant, approaches him from behind. Then, out of nowhere, he pulls a pistol from his bag and shoots the other boy in the bag. The assailant and his friend immediately fled from the scene. Preliminary police investigations revealed that this attack was induced by a fight that happened not long ago.

The absconding boys face an attempt to murder charge. The police are continuing investigations.
