Known for making prize catches, Studio Green is at it again. The production house has acquired the South Indian distribution rights of Prabhu Solomon directed 'Kumki', produced by Lingusamy's Thirrupathi Brothers Film Media (P) Ltd.

"Studio Green has bagged the South Indian theatrical rights (Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka) of the much awaited Kumki," said a press statement.

Vikram Prabhu, son of Prabhu and grandson of 'Nadigar Thilakam' Sivaji Ganesan, is making his acting debut with 'Kumki', which has Lakshmi Menon as the leading lady.

National Award winning Thambi Ramaiah is doing a crucial role, while music is by D Imman. The film is about a caretaker of elephants, who falls in love. 'Kumki' was shot in dense forests of Tamil Nadu.
