Subhadram is a revenge story set in the backdrop of a self financing college campus. It tells more about the contemporary problems that students in these types of colleges face and about those that are never discussed in the media. The film being shot at Ernakulam and nearby areas is based on a story by Sreelal Devaraj who also debuts into direction with the film. In addition to a teenage romance, Subhadram also has a mix of mystery and horror.

Royal College of Engineering Studies is the famous college in the city where the children of the big guns study. Four students are working on a project on 'life and death.' Manu, the group's leader, is attracted to a sculpture of a woman that he founds amidst their work. Thereafter, he starts to feels her presence wherever he goes. He creates an advertisement campaign using the sculpture's features.

All hell breaks loose as they find that the picture bears an uncanny resemblance to a girl named Subhadra who was gang raped and had been missing since then. Then their interest goes on to find out the history of Subhadra, a good looking and intelligent girl   who took admission in this college, years back  only because she knows that the college has the best of the facilities. She has another reason to be in the college as she is the daughter of Major Govindan Namboodri and Sethulakshmi, who works in the college as a lecturer.

Within a short time, Subhadra becomes very   popular in the campus due to her good character and artistic excellence .Tara, who reigned the campus and the art festivals before the arrival of Subhadra, couldn't digest her intrusion into popularity and so, she takes every chance to harass Subhadra whenever she gets one.

Tara gets help in this endeavor from her friends Nishanth, Aiswarya and Paul Alex. They create a well etched plan to rag her brutally, in the campus. Subhadra, after the incident decides to fight back and complains with the police, but as Tara and her friends are from very affluent families, the police ignore the complaint. Then one day, Subhadra disappears. The DySP of the city, Nandakumar who comes to the campus to investigate was also found murdered.

Chandrabahanu I P S who is presently in charge of this Case is surprised to hear about Manu and his friends. And as he starts investigating in the new lines, the dimensions of the entire case become more and more complicated which leads to more intriguing twists and turns.
