Suman started his Bollywood innings with the big ticket film 'Gabbar' starring Akshay Kumar, Asin, Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood, Govind Namdev etc. The film is incidentally a remake of the south blockbuster from Murugadoss viz., 'Ramana' in Tamil with Vijaykanth and VV Vinayak’s 'Tagore' in Telugu with Chiranjeevi. The Hindi version is being directed by Telugu director Krish Jagarlamudi who shot to fame with meaningful cinema like 'Gamyam', 'Vedam' and 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum'. The shooting happened in Motilal Baswa complex in Parle, Mumbai.

Suman was quite kicked up about the role and thanked Akshay Kumar for the referral. He said that he got a lot of offers after 'Sivaji' but was cautious in choosing his dies. He said 'I am happy to be doing it with a wondreful role and a great production. I thank all my co-stars, producers and directors for the support and I'd continue to act in all languages. By the way, I am also doing a Hollywood production the details of which I will disclose soon'

Suman thrashed down rumours that he will contest the forthcoming elections. He however added that he would join a national party soon.
