Sun Zarra

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Hindi Comments

What if someone you never knew, someone you never saw, someone you never met...is THE someone for YOU? What would you do when a situation comes and someone comes right behind you...and says..."Sun Zarra"?

Neither Rohit [Samir Aftab] nor Trisha [Anjana Sukhani] knew that they would get into such unusual circumstances. They came from different cities and different backgrounds. They had different personalities and likes/dislikes, but had one important thing in common - flare for music!

For Rohit, music was a passion. He always wanted to make it big as a singer since his childhood. And for achieving his dreams, he knew which was the place to be - Mumbai. Soon he packs his bags and arrives in the city of dreams where his destiny awaited him.

Little did he know that his destiny would take him not just to his passion but also make him realize true love!

Soon he found a place to live with Gauri Shankar [Mithun Chakravorty], a Bihari-babu with a heart of gold. Coming from the same place as Rohit, he sensed his struggle and offered to help him out in his endeavor at every feasible step.

Rohit found an elder brother and now had only one thing to worry about - find a foothold in the industry.

While Rohit continued his struggle and practiced singing, a girl next door happened to hear his voice on a regular basis. She was Trisha, a sweet young girl, who fell in love with the voice of a boy she had never seen in her life. Cupid struck and soon she was in love with not just the voice but the man himself.

Ironically whenever she came across him in person, her dislike for Rohit saw no bounds. Reason? She found him to be a prankster who was always up to some mischief or other in their locality. On the other hand Rohit found himself falling in love with her.

Trisha was in love with a voice.... Rohit was in love with a face.......

And soon the two found themselves at such a juncture in life when Rohit had to decide between his two loves - singing and Trisha.

What was the reason that compelled him to make such a choice? After all Trisha herself wanted him to be successful in his career.

Will Trisha allow Rohit to forget about his dream and ambitions? After all Rohit's sole purpose for coming to Mumbai was to achieve that.

And does Gauri Shankar, inspite of all his maturity and level headiness, allow such a situation to take prevalence when Rohit, whom he considers as his younger brother, is looking for support at such a crossroad?

Directed by Rohit Nayyar, 'Sun Zarra' is a youth oriented production by Salim. A story of dreams, emotions and sacrifice, it is slated for February release.
