Superstar Rajinikanth's younger daughter Sounarya Rajinikanth is currently busy with the pre-production work for her second directorial project 'Velai Illa Pattadhari 2'. The film will have Dhanush, Amala Paul and Bollywood beauty Kajol in pivotal roles.

Now on the personal front the 'Kochadiiyaan' director has officially filed her divorce from Ashwin with whom she entered wedlock in 2010 and has a son named Ved. The divorce application of Soundarya was filed in a Family Court in Chennai today (December 23)..

A few months ago Soundarya announced that she has separated from her husband and living with her parents.
