26 year old Anirudh debuted as a music composer in the film '3' directed by his cousin, Aishwarya Dhanush. He quickly rose to fame after his 'Why this Kolaveri di?' went viral on YouTube in 2011. Anirudh then went on to compose music for several films including 'Vedalam' and 'Kaththi'.

On Tuesday, superstar Rajinikanth paid a surprise visit to the young music composer at his recording studio. A photo of the two was shared by Anirudh on his twitter handle. It looks like the superstar has praised Anirudh for his work. Meanwhile, fans have started to expect that Anirudh will soon render music for a Rajini film.

Anirudh is currently composing music for Ajith's 'Vivegam', Suriya's 'Thaana Serndha Kootam' and Sivakarthikeyan's 'Velaikkaran'.
