Suraj is currently busy with the film 'Padikkathavan' starring Dhanush. Meanwhile, he has been zeroed in to direct Karthi for a new film. With 'Ayirathil Oruvan' starring Karthi and directed by Selvaraghavan nearing its completion stages, work for the new assignment that brings Suraj and Karthi together is expected to commence shortly.

According to reports, the younger brother of Suriya would play a dual role in the film.

It is said that the film would be a remake of the Telugu super hit 'Vikramarkudu'. Yuvan Shankar Raja would score the music.

Suraj is also reportedly planning to direct Arjun again, as their Marudhamalai was a decent hit.

Arjun is currently shooting for 'Thiruvannamalai', which is being directed by Perarasu and produced by Kavithalaya.
