There were reports of young star Prithviraj playing the role of the Commissioner in the new project 'The King & The Commissioner'. The movie was expected to feature megastar Mammootty with Prithviraj once again after their recent hit ‘Pokkiri Raja’.

It was then rumoured that Suresh Gopi who played the same role in the original had some major differences of opinion with Mammootty that prevented him from being in the movie, as was the case in ‘Pazhassi Raja’.

But now Suresh Gopi in a recent interview has revealed that he would love to be in the role and has made decisions for the same. This was the important role that made him the star that he is today.

The shooting of the movie to be directed by Shaji Kailash is expected to start in January, next year.
