With only a month left for Deepavali, efforts are on to get films as many movies released for the festive occasion.

It looks likely that there would a three-cornered contest between Ajith, Suriya and Silambarasan at the box office. Ajith's 'Aegan', Suriya's 'Varanam Aayiram' and Silambarasan starrer 'Silambattam' might hit the screens on the festive occasion.

'Aegan' starring Ajith, Nayantara and Jayaram, is produced by Ayngaran Internationals. Directed by choreographer-turned-directed Raju Sundaram, the movie has musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

'Varanam Aayiram' featuring Suriya, Sameera Reddy, Simran and Divya Spandana, is produced by Aascar Films. Directed by Goutham Vasudev Menon, the movie has musical score by Harris Jeyaraj.

‘Silambattam’ features Silambarasan and Sana Khan in prominent roles, which is produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers. Directed by cinematographer-turned-director Saravanan, the movie has musical score by Dheena.
