Actor Sivakumar is immensely talented in multiple art forms such as acting, painting and oration. While we have enjoyed and admired his acting prowess in a range of characters over the decades and listened to his flamboyant discourse of Ramayana and Mahabharatha, here is a chance to admire and engross in his beautiful painting.

Sivakumar will be turning 75 on October 27. To celebrate this, the veteran's sons Suriya and Karthi who are the leading heroes of Kollywood today have planned to bring out two table books highlighting the contributions of Sivakumar as an artist and an actor. One book will have 140 paintings of Sivakumar drawn over the period of seven years, the other will have stills from 100 films (out of 195) he has acted with a few lines for each still.

The star sons of the thespian have also organised an exhibition in Lalit Kala Academy, Chennai to exhibit selected paintings of the Markendayan of Kollywood. The said exhibition will be inaugurated by Karthi at 5PM on October 24 (Monday) while Suriya will grace the closing ceremony on October 26.

Can a father get a better gift from his children than this?
