Suriya launches free dialysis scheme

Those who have been following actor Suriya’s good natured services know only too well that he is the goodwill ambassador of the Tamil Nadu Kidney Research Foundation (TANKER).

On behalf of the foundation, Suriya inaugurated a free dialysis scheme for the underprivileged. This event, which took place yesterday, was held in association with Madras West Round Table 10 and Madras Ladies Circle 2.

Suriya, who spoke on the occasion, said that he would support one more dialysis for each day and this, he said, would be his personal contribution towards the mission.

There will also be a fundraiser for the dialysis programme, which will be marked by a theatrical presentation.
