It seems like last year, this year also going to be rain of awards for National Awards for Tamil cinema. Raju Murugan's 'Joker' has won the Best Regional Film (Tamil) awards and Vairamuthu has won the award for Best Lyrics for his 'Entha Pakkam' song in 'Dharmadurai'.

Now Suriya's ambitious mega budget Time-travel flick '24' has received its due. Cinematographer Tirru has won the National Award for his breathtaking work behind the lens in '24'.

'24' was directed by Vikram Kumar and produced by Suriya under his 2D Entertainments banner. A.R.Rahman has rendered the music score. The film released on May 6, 2016.

IndiaGlitz congratulates cinematographer Tirru for getting his first ever National Award.
