Suriya's '24' is a sure-shot winner in Three Big C's of Tamil Nadu

Earlier today, Indiaglitz had reported that actor Suriya's ambitious time travel flick '24' has collected more than one and a half crores in Chennai in its opening weekend. Now we have some comprehensive details about the film's collections across Tamil Nadu.

Sources close to Kollywood Trade circles reveal that the film has grossed a whopping Rs.16 crores in Tamil Nadu in its first three days of release (May 6-8). Especially the Vikram Kumar directorial has fared exceptionally well in the three C's of Tamil Nadu that is Chennai, Coimbatore and Chengalpet distribution areas.

In Chengalpet the film has grossed Rs.4.5 crores in three days and in Coimbatore, the second fastest growing city of Tamil Nadu, the first weekend gross is Rs.3 crores.

With a phenomenal pre-release buzz and positive word of mouth has ended up as raining of collections for the film. Added to this the summer holidays will work favorably for the film and we can be assured that the film will retain the same momentum in the coming weeks.

News tickling in about the film's opening in overseas box offices has been very good.
