Surprised? Suriya certainly has a Diwali release this year, but just that it is not a feature film. In an off-beat attempt, Suriya has planned to nod to director Lakshmanan, for an awareness campaign ad-film. The film is an initiative by the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services, to spread the awareness about a bright, happy and a safe Diwali. Running for less than two minutes, the ad-film is said to have scenes where Suriya advices young kids to be careful with the explosives, among others. The film will be released as part of the awareness campaign for a safe Diwali, and is to be telecast on TV channels and screened before movies, from a week before the festival of lights.
