Director S J Surya's forthcoming release New is getting its final touches and would be released this month. The movie which has Surya in the lead role has Simran and Kiran acting alongside him. Devayani plays Surya's mother in the movie. The Telugu version of the movie Naani, with Mahesh Babu playing the hero was released last month in Andhra Pradesh and failed miserably at the box-office.

Surya now has shot another song for New and is also busy editing a few scenes which were not received well by the Telugu audience. Surya is confident that New would repeat the same magic his earlier movies, Vaali and Kushi did a few years ago.
