It was in 2010 that we saw former beauty queen Sushmita Sen in ‘No Problem’. It’s been almost four years and Sush has not had any release till now. Her most ambitious project on Rani Lakshmibai got shelved due to various reasons. But now, she’s all set to comeback but in a Bengali movie.

Being a Bong herself, Ms. Sen has been wanting to do a Bengali film for a long time. And looks like finally it’s happening... Bengali filmmaker Srijit Mukherjee who has films like ‘Autograph’ and ‘Hemlock’ in his filmography has convinced Sushmita to make her Bengali Movie Debut with his next movie.

The movie is titled ‘Nirbaak’ which means Speechless... ‘Nirbaak’ features four love stories and the theme of silence is common between all four. Sush’s character connects all four stories.

Even in the past, Sushmita had worked on Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘It Was Raining That Night’ which was a remake of ‘Astitva’. But that movie never got released and recently, she was also signed for Rupali Chatterjee’s ‘Jodi Emon Hoto’ but that got shelved. For now, we are sure Sushmita’s Bengali fans would be very happy with this piece of news!
