Just a few weeks ago, almost all papers and media carried reports that Sathyaraj was the most sought after hero in Kollywood these days as he was charging very less and his films guarantee at least a break-even.

But it now turns out that all that was big talk.

The tall hero is still one of the lesser-paid actors in the industry (He himself is candid enough to say that he can command only that much).

But that is not reason enough for his films to run.

In fact, the last three releases of his have not even created a ripple in the industry.

Azhagesan was a dud to beat all duds. Sound Party was just about average. Jore was talked about but earned not much for the producer.

So all the talk of Sathyaraj being a box-office talisman rings hollow now.
