After her last film "Venghai" in 2011, Tamannah hasn't appeared in any Tamil films for quite a while. And now, it seems like she has signed up for her comeback with none other than our Thala Ajith to be directed by "Siruthai" Siva.

When asked about this news, Tamannah said, "I’m delighted to be back. I am glad to have bagged the Ajith flick, a Tamil flick I’m doing after quite a long time. I have always wanted to be cast opposite the Ultimate Star and finally, I got that jackpot opportunity! I think I will be comfortable on the sets with him as I have always known him as a very supportive and warm person. We will begin shoot early next year."

When asked about her role in the next film with Ajith, she told, "I cannot divulge much about my character as it is too early now. Siva had given me a prominent role in Siruthai and I know that he will surprise me with a nice character this time too."

The long break in Kollywood might affect her comeback because of so many debutante heroines this year and to this statement she said, "“I know there are a lot of new talents. But everybody has their own space to prove their acting prowess. Even I have my own space in Tamil cinema. I got committed to several Telugu films in which I had important roles to play. So, I had to allot chunk dates for the shoots. I was camping in Hyderabad and I had no plans to shuttle between the two. My dancing skills have gradually improved due to my projects in Tollywood. I am able to dance to even complicated steps with ease now. I am not nervous. I feel lucky to play such an iconic role.

Tamannah's New Year plans are to be home on the first day of the year with her family and friends. We wish her well!
